The Story Behind The Hyde Park Collection

As a proud British brand of well-established history, we at Rapport felt strongly that the names of our collections should reflect iconic London landmarks and areas. Over time, we have taken the utmost care to ensure that these ranges live up to their namesakes, with the likes of Brompton, Kensington and Berkeley making an appearance in our catalogue. 

One collection that we take particular pride in is our Hyde Park range. In our minds, the name could not be a better fit. The parkland has a long-lasting prestige that conjures up sentiments of both timeless tradition and modernity, and it is the spirit that we feel is best reflected by the Hyde Park collection. 

The collection distinguishes itself through the use of premium smooth leather and a butter-soft suede lining. We have designed the colouring to be very natural, again a reflection of Hyde Park, coming in a tan or navy finish. The tan leather is complemented by navy suede, while the navy leather carries a refined grey suede. Outside of these unifying qualities, the collection is home to some of the most unique and striking design choices ever crafted by our experts. 

The Hyde Park Three Watch Roll is one of the most versatile options offered at Rapport, capable of operating as a three or two watch travel case and being the perfect choice for the regular traveller. The central watch cushion is enclosed in its own removable case, meaning it can then operate as a single watch holder. With this holder removed, the Three Watch Roll also changes, becoming the perfect travel case for two watches with a central compartment to holder cufflinks, rings and other small, precious accessories. The single watch case is also a carefully considered facsimile of the Three Watch Roll, carrying leather outer, soft suede inner and pop-button closure. 

The Rapport Hyde Park Zip Cases make up the remaining products in the series, with a Two Watch and Four Watch configuration. Both cases take advantage of removable and adjustable cushions to ensure the perfect secure fit for your selected timepieces. These premium cases carry with them the true spirit of the Hype Park name and ethos - a merging of the traditional and the contemporary. 

The traditional comes in through the heritage craftsmanship that is the signature of Rapport. In addition to the fine leather and suede material aforementioned and ubiquitous across the Hyde Park range, the cases have a debossed Rapport London typography on the front panel and a Rapport emblem under the lid; an ornate addition that has signified the highest quality since 1898.

The contemporary finds its way into the mix through the inclusion of the zip closure. This subtle touch introduces a robust edge to the aesthetic of the cases, which contrasts and compliments the leather design. In tan, the zip has a golden finish, while the navy has a dark silver finish.
